Last year I had the pleasure of spending the first day of 2011 in Austin, Texas watching Shaela and Bryan get married. It was a perfect start to the year, sharing in the joy of two great people and their wonderful families. Here is to a beautiful 2012! Congrats you guys and Congratulations to all our couples from 2011.

Christmas Day by Dido

This has to be one of my all time favorite Christmas songs. I heard it for the first time this year, but it is so hauntingly beautiful I can’t stop singing it or get it out of my head.

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas. This has been a crazy year for Rick and I. I am so excited about spending time with family and friends and soaking in the love that surrounds us. I am sending a giant hug out to my blog friends. Eat, Drink and be Merry.

Speaking of Father Christmas, you need to check this book out, Letters From Father Christmas, J. R. Tolkien. Yes this is the same guy who brought you Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit. What’s cool about this is that these are actual letters Tolkien wrote and illustrated for his children from Father Christmas. If we ever have kids I hope we could do something similar. If you have children you should pick up a copy and even if you don’t have kids you should get it too.

I love this song and I hope you will too. Bruce’s whole Christmas album is truly amazing.

An oldie but a goodie in my opinion.

I love this song!!!!! If you are looking for a fun Christmas song then this is it.

This Lennox album is fabulous! This album is actually another random find at Starbucks. We picked it up last year on our way to the Over The Rhine Christmas concert in Cincinnati. If you are looking for a great Christmas album full of old hymns sung beautifully then pick this one up.
