Promises. Promises. I’ve been promising you this Texas hill country wedding and it’s finally here! Remember Candis and Jason from their engagement session and Candis’ bridal portraits? I know I say “fun” a lot, especially about this couple, but it’s true! And I have pictures to prove it! Candis is a sweet, sweet person and like all brides was a bit nervous about the wedding day going as planned. The tornado warnings and rain are not what she had in mind for her outdoor ceremony! But, you know the funny thing about couples? They so often perfectly complement each other and Jason is this big calming force for Candis. He walks into the room and Candis’ concerns melt away. Can you ask for more than that?
Circle H Lodge was the perfect setting for Candis and Jason’s families and friends to gather for the weekend. It’s always a treat for us to work there!
The wedding party were all barefoot for the ceremony. The cold, rain-soaked grass made for great reactions!
Candis’ dad wore his black cowboy hat for the ceremony. He earned bonus points in my book! Very cool.
Such a beautiful and happy couple.
Little guys in suits get me every time.
What do you say to the bride who wants to have photos of the wedding party in an oak tree? Yes, please!

Another dose of the fabulous ladies of Well Styled for you today. This time, help me give a warm Texas welcome to Becca! She is my kind of girl. We hit it off right away. And why shouldn’t we? She is from Louisville, Kentucky (oh how I miss Fall in Kentucky) and loves finding great food. I think Austin will suit her well.
I also would like to say this girl rocks fashion like no other. Do yourself a favor and give Well Styled a call. Whether you need a fashion intervention or just some help picking out new clothes for a special event they can do wonders and I promise you’ll have fun!

Don’t let the calm waters of Lake Austin or the great fall colors fool you. We were literally surrounded by dark black clouds and it was pouring rain all around us. Despite the weather Buddy and Theresa were happy, relaxed and totally at ease and there’s no better formula for a great photo session.
This has to be my favorite one. I love how the light highlights everything here. Great smiles all around help too.
This one makes me laugh! It is very much their personality. You guys make me laugh! Thanks.
I had so much fun spending the day at the lake with Theresa and Buddy. Congratulations!

I can’t express how much fun I had shooting these portraits. Laurel is a new stylist with Well Styled in Austin. She is a so much fun and I wish I had half her sense of style. She can transform a black dress just by adding a few different accessories. You can find Laurel on the Well Styled blog and her personal blog, Trophy Boutique, where she photographs many of the outfits she wears.
Laurel was a dream to work with as she naturally knows how to move and pose. Thanks Laurel!

Congratulations Shaela and Bryan! I couldn’t have asked for a better start to the new year than doing what I love and meeting such a wonderful couple and their family.
Happy New Year. More to come later in the year.
